TRIO Fire Start is a summer transition program for incoming first-year students sponsored by the TRIO Academic Support Program. This one week program is offered twice in the summer during July and August to kick start the UIC experience. Students will have an opportunity to engage in experiential learning in Chicago, learn how to manage money in college. network with UIC faculty/staff, and meet fellow students all before the start of fall semester. When students return to campus, they will have the tools and knowledge to feel confident beginning their college journey.

All expenses covered by TRIO and Incoming first-year students with a documented disability are eligible.

Program Dates and Times: Session 1: July 16-20, Session 2: August 6-20

Monday-Friday 9am-1pm
