About
Yesenia (Jesse), has worked for the University of Illinois Chicago since 2000, in various capacities. Jesse has her Associates of Arts in Business Accounting and understand the importance of following your dreams and reaching your goals. Jesse provides high-level administrative and management support for the Disability Resource Center. She manages all the Disability Services Specialist (DSS) calendar's in helping schedule intake appointments and meetings. She also assists in budgetary control by monitoring the budget and originating or verifying adjustments and transfers, submits departmental information fiscal financial accounts, and oversees day-to-day logistical operations. Jesse is also Spanish speaking and is here to help students from all backgrounds become successful. Jesse loves being the first point of contact for students as she guides them to the correct resource within the DRC.
Fun facts: She enjoys DIY crafting, repurposing furniture, sewing, couponing, and on the side she does party event planning for her family and friends. She also loves shopping for great deals, especially scavenging thrift stores and garage sales. In her spare time, she enjoys watching films based on true stories.
